Anna Heydel (*1982, Guayaquil) is a visual artist whose works are based on experimenting with photography. Classical photography as well as mixed-media installations, projections and videos are the processes she uses to create her works. Lately she has been examining the level between vision and blindness, by combining visual elements with the Braille scripture.
After studying Political Sciences at the University of Marburg she worked as an Editor at the Frankfurter Rundschau, a german national newspaper, and as a project manager at the Fotografie Forum Frankfurt, organizing the Summer Academy. During this program she participated in numerous workshops with photographers, curators and theorists. At the same time she began to intensify and focus on her artistic projects. Since 2014 she lives and works in Cagliari/Sardinia, where she keeps exploring, realizing exhibitions and events.
